Note: I am new to Mac OS.

I have noticed from time to time, I may have a screen open, example Safari. As I go to move the window, it is almost as if the bottom part of it is stuck to the Dock. I have to keep trying to move the window, till eventually it moves.

Any reason why this happens?

Also, I have noticed, if the window of the application is either close to the Dock, OR close to the menu bar at the top of the Mac OS desktop, same issue if trying to move the window around.

ny somewhere
where are you clicking to move the window? and have you rebooted? you could also try changing the screen resolution (system preferences>displays>display>resolution) then change it back to default (or whatever you use). or move the dock to one side for a bit, see if the problem persists from there).

not sure what's happening (hard to tell without a visual). see if anything above helps, or try to do a screen recording perhaps, to show us...

I typically click and hold, in a blank space along the bar with the minimise and maximise button is (red, yellow and green).
I will try to record the process. Thanks

Brilliant idea with moving the Dock!
It actually gives me more screen real estate, too...
Do you have Settings > Dock > Automatic hide turned on? That adds real estate and makes things easier re: click/move.
