Is it possible for every window I decide to open, no matter what it be, to open only as big as it needs to be? It seems when I open one, there is a scroll bar for left to right. Cant this be eliminated to where I never have to scroll left or right, without having a full size window?

You're just talking about the Finder, right? From memory, you can change the size of a new window by opening said window, resizing it, closing it and then opening it again. I think that's how it's done, but am probably wrong as usual.

Otherwise, just get into the habit of slamming down the curser on that green bubble in the top left corner.

No, I am talking every and any window. I would have thought after the initial 'sizing', it would then open to the perfect size everytime. Maybe OS X isnt that intuitive yet.
