Ever since having my Mac Studio, I log in with the fingerprint reader on my keyboard and usually launch mail or safari straight away. I have noticed that 7/10 times it launches them in the bottom left portion of the screen and not where I previously had them. So, I move and resize them, but it just happens again and again. Most other windows seem fine, finder windows for example have held their positions (but that has always been touch and go in the past).
Why is such a simple thing such an issue for MacOS and how can I stop it?

UPDATE - Now Resolved
This problem never went away by itself so I finally managed to resolve it:
Suspected cause:
I think having dual monitors or swaping different types of monitors initially causes the problem (some sort of display bug).

UPDATE - Now Resolved
This problem never went away by itself so I finally managed to resolve it:
Suspected cause:
I think having dual monitors or swaping different types of monitors initially causes the problem (some sort of display bug).
Resolution:
- Put all of my local files into Users > Shared
- Created a new user profile
- Logged into that new profile with my Apple ID which restored everything in the cloud
- dragged my local files out of Users > Shared into my new profile.
- Deleted the original profile.
- Checked all of the previously offending apps, everything now works as expected.
