Windows 10 connect to 10.10 file store

Hi,

I have a 10.10.5 server running with basic file sharing.

Macs and Win 7 clients can connect with no problems. However, win 10 clients logging with the same credentials cannot connect to the share point.

If i login as the administrator of the server from Win 10, it allows me to connect or mapped network drive.

This was working fine last week, but i'm starting to wonder if Win 10 was updated and caused this to fail? I have 3 machines running win 10 and all fail to connect. ("The specified network password is not correct")

Can anyone confirm if they are able to connect to a 10.10 File Store from Windows 10?

Hmmm... probably an incompatibility regarding the SMB versions of OS X 10.10.5 vs. Windows 10.
IIRC OS X 10.9 added SMB v2, and 10.10 SMB v3, compatible with Windows 7-8

Can Windows 10 connect to a share using an "older" SMB protocol?

EDIT:
Using Windows 10 on Parallels connecting to \\name.of.server all works well.
Server is OS X Server 10.10.5, standard AFP/SMB config.

Did you ever figure out a work around to get them to talk to each other? I am running into the same issues and haven't been able get them to connect. Obviously giving a user the admin credentials is not an acceptable solution.
