MP 7,1 Windows 11 on Mac Pro 7,1

It was my understanding that the MacPro 7,1 didn't meet the system requirements. I think Apple would need to update the firmware to add TPM support.
I know there are some workarounds to avoid TPM 2.0, but you're right, hopefully Apple updates the firmware as Xeon W does support TPM 2.0 natively, we should probably submit reports to Apple
I hope to upgrade to Windows 11 officially as the last present from Apple for Intel Macs ?

Thanks for this, but cannot make head nor tail of the tool. When it did run, it showed none of the USB options.I have upgraded my bootcamp Windows 10 to Windows 11, no issue at all and just received first update.

actually no need for USB. Unzip -> Run the batch file -> Select MCT version 11 -> Auto Setup and watch a tv show

Besides the eye candies, there is one major benefit of using Windows 11 (especially if you pair mac pro with the Apple Pro Display XDR): Auto HDR
Looks amazing on the XDR display but it's best to turn on dark theme or adjust SDR content brightness to make it easier on the eyes.

Windows update works smoothly for me (after all the CPU is supported). My set up is 28 core + 6800x duo + nvidia A6000. Some people have GPU slow downs though so probably give it a couple of more months of bug fixes.
As above, the GitHub tool all works pefectly, albeit a little slow. In my case, update from Win10 workstation to Win11.

If I don't have Windows Bootcamp on my Mac Pro, would you recommend downloading Windows 10 first, then upgrading to 11 and download GitHub Zip file? Or can I just install a fresh Windows 11 onto Bootcamp and then use the GitHub file?
Yes I would recommend doing the Win 10 boot camp first (with all the apple drivers installed), then upgrade.

Wow, thanks for this. Is there any way you can go back to Windows 10 if things are not as smooth? I used to have the WinClone app within Mac but it no longer works and I have to pay like $50 for the backup of Boot Camp. I'm wondering if you have had any issues so far. I definitely want the latest and greatest.
Was able to bypass the TPM 2.0 checks and upgrade from Win10 normally. All works well.
However, I am getting ramped up fan speeds in Win11 with the Mac Pro 2019. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Mine doesn't have fan issue but my Nvidia card is a bit slower in benchmark which i think is a driver issue.

That doesn’t sound good! Sounds like one of those old MacBook Pro’s Boot Camp issue of always using the dedicated graphics, and thus always being hot and fan spinning.
What kind of GPU are you running in the machine? If it’s a MPX module like you said probably would need a firmware update from Apple.

I guess as long as they update the driver for Windows 11 it should be ok, as when in Boot Camp mode it’s just like any other Windows desktop (also assuming you’re using non-MPX GPU).
With my Windows 10, starting 2 weeks ago I cannot launch Citrix Workspace (latest version). I have to use the browser version to log into my work now. On Mac OS, no issue launching the app.
Nevermind, this time it went through....Although I made the mistake of making my backup drive a USB flash drive when I was the above app, and ended up wiping out the entire drive because this app's flash drive just forcibly deleted all my partitions on that drive hahaha. When you open up that app above (mediacreationtool.bat), do not click Select and choose your drive as a flash drive (I was thinking it would just create a folder, not deleting the entire partition!). Just click 'Auto Upgrade' and it'll do the rest for you.
