Hi. Even though my account is already the Administrator, whenever I save images, from the internet, it won't let me, saying I need to ask permission from the Administrator. I've upgraded to Windows 11 by the way.

I can however, save to an external device, like a flashdrive. My apps running in the tray at the bottom are: Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, if I remember Hitman Pro, Avast and other Windows app but there may other setting in Windows 11 itself that's preventing it.

Thank you.
God bless, Revelation 21:4

The first thing I’d like to do is uninstalling most of the security programs on your computer. They can cause conflicts.
If external drive works, try to create a new partition on your internal drive and see if you can save stuff there.

Where are you trying to save it? It sounds like your account may not have the proper security. Right click the folder in question, select properties and then the Security tab - be sure your account is highlighted and you have full control

Dude, that's way too many security programs and you're more likely causing significant performance slow downs, and as @Shirasaki mention, this could be part of your problem.

You only need one, pick one, and then uninstall the rest. You're not really protecting your computer any more by running so many security programs.

Hi, I process of elimination some extensions, I had no time, I just switched to Chrome. I'll clean Firefox later, it's one of those extensions that's reporting a false positive, thinking the saving of the images like jpeg is some kind of security risk- though if I don't use "Save Image as", if I just drag and drop the image to the desktop it can be saved, no issues. Thanks again.

there
Have we tried using Edge?
the browser is perfect and works well with windows 11.
Chrome is still not the best solution to save a photo due to their tracking and untrusted platform.

seems to me that Windows 11 is still fresh and has some very small bugs or gnats.
I had to reinstall 10 yesterday because of little things i felt were annoying.
I'm not recommending this

Hi. It was Malwarebyte Browser Guard extension, I'll remove that extension for now (I've reported this false positive to Malwarebytes).
