Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install W2012R2 on a 2009 Mac Pro.. which went well, except for the Intel NIC drivers.. anyone knows where I can get the drivers for the 82574L? Intel itself says there are no "official" drivers.. but perhaps someone here got it to work.. as there should be unofficial drivers out there...(and Boot Camp does not seem to have these drivers either.. (tried latest version))

I had the same problem earlier and this link helped me solve it. If you have access to a Win 8.1 installation, then you can extract the "e1i63x64.sys" driver from the Drivers folder as suggested in the 2nd post. If you have problems getting the driver, PM me your email and I could send you a copy.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.. checked my local Win8.1, but could not find the file you mentioned. I also found an IBM reference to the driver for their x Series servers.. the download is 250Mb, (intc_sw_nic_v18.5-cd_anyos_32-64)

will try that one tonight also.. but it includes more drivers than just for this one..

If you can send me the inf file.. that would be great..

Got it working..

For others:
Go to the BootCamp files then the folder Drivers\Intel,

There DoubleClick IntelEtherNetInstaller and run it.. but at the end, DO NOT CLOSE it yet.. then go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFXx

where the last x is 0,1,2,3 etc.. copy that folder to another folder (for example C:\installs)

Then in device manager, click update driver, click Browse my computer for driver software, then select Let me pick from a list..... and in the pop-up select Any Device, then select have disk and browse to the C:\Installs\RarSFXx folder where the INI files are.. click ok

from the list shown, select your network adapter...

DONE!

Other method instead of having it in the temp folder is having 7-zip installed, right click the intel exe file you said and in the 7-zip menu extract the exe's contents to a folder. Had to do this quite often unpacking Apple's drivers for BC which are buried in compressed executables!
