Anyone know how to activate Windows 7 again once VM Fusion has been installed. I have a legit copy of Windows 7 activated on BootCamp, but once I loaded it through Fusion it now says I have to reactivate it. Well guess what? It won't activate, it says I have to call Microsoft. Which I hate doing. So is there way around this? I tried the Instructions on VM's site but it doesn't work, unless you have to actually install the VM Tools while in Bootcamp. If this is the case I don't know how to do that as there is no separate file for that.

You are allowed to run windows 7 on one machine, you've installed it on one machine and are now trying to install it on another machine, yes the hardware is the same but it is still considered 2 machines.
You will need to call microsoft and let them know that you need to move windows from bootcamp to VM Fusion.
I do not think you will be able to run it in bootcamp and vm fusion without buying another key.

Just call the automated number, read the activation number that's presented to you, and it will walk you through activating. It's really like a 5 minute call and it's all automated unless you opt to talk to an actual Microsoft rep.

I don't want to call for fear that they will activate it for me, then once I boot native into Bootcamp it tells me that my O/S needs re-activated there because my hardware changed. It could be a never ending cycle. I just want both to work, no hassling. Isn't this the reason we moved Mac in the first place? Seriously Microsoft! (I only need you for program)

MS allows you to activate a native install as well as a virtual install on the same machine with one license. Just tell them you have a Mac running Boot Camp and want to use it with VMware Fusion.
