Well, isn't this
dandy!:
How different can Win 7 be from Vista that they can't support it? It sounds to me like a way to squeeze more money out of their customers.
I gave up on MacDrive. Even set to read-only, it still caused Windows Explorer to hang randomly and made boot times much longer in XP.
You hit the nail on the head there buddy. Why make an existing (i.e. free to those who have it) product work when you can force people to upgrade? Same philosophy behind MS Office on Mac.
Personally, I am just dealing with the lack of MacDrive support for now. Their program worked just fine under Vista, and therefore SHOULD work 100% under Win7, but they locked it into only certain OS's.
I do not want to deal with the crappy (lack of) integration of the other programs.
BTW, I was able to get MacDrive to install (with a cracked version), but Windows won't start up afterwards...
In other words, I love(d) their product before, but hate their guts for intentionally dragging their feet here. I was considering actually buying their product once Win7 gets released for my various uses of it, but this makes me think that I will in no way want to support them financially, and will instead pursue other avenues in procuring their product (as it is, as I have said, the best solution overall)
