I have the beta version of Windows 7 build 7100 and i want to bootcamp with it....whats the difference between that beta and the final release. Should i just pay the extra money to get the final release or just use beta for free.
Build 7100 is the Release Candidate. Build 7000 is the Beta, which has already expired.
If you're going to use the RC, it will expire around June or July of 2010, with either hourly or bi-hourly shut downs 2 months before the expiration date.
I would imagine that the beta will not be receiving any support or upgrades. That and it being a beta not a final product would lead me to get the final release, but then again I got it for the student upgrade price of $30 so it wasn't much.
