Just wanted to let folks know that Windows absolutely flies on these new machines. I purchased the lowest end 11", got the Mac OS partition down to 9 GB and devoted the rest to Windows 7. Excellent performance. 6.9 score on the SSD, 4.2 overall (due to the processor). I've been able to throw Starcraft 2 on it and get very good results. I'm very impressed.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

That's good to know

These already seemed like they'd make great portable web browsing/productivity machines, and now you can throw gaming into the mix as well

Anyone know what the minimum partition size for a Win 7 installation is? I'd only use it once in a blue moon, with no specific program in mind. Would 8 GB be too paltry to dedicate to Win 7?

8GB is not really enough.

8GB is enough for the main install, but its cutting it close and there will not be much room left over. Usually installs are 7-8GB minimum with unmodified Win7 I think.

Im assuming the 4.2 is in the graphics. Whats the processor?

Stated in the op. 4.2 is the score due to the processor, thus the score of 4.2 as Windows User Experience/Windows Index Experience only scores you based on your "weakest link" numbers.

OP if you're going to partition for Windows 7 I'd suggest the minimum you'd want is 20GB.

My 128GB partition will be like this:

90GB for OSX
38GB for Win7

I'm mostly be using Win7 for games and other windows apps.
