Disclaimer: I KNOW THIS IS NOT A GAMING LAPTOP!

I was really excited to check out what this new 11" could do in W7 with gaming. I have to regretfully inform you that this new revision is worse than the previous version with games under W7.

The 2010 MBA ultimate would allow me to play Modern Warfare 2 at decent setting fluently. The 2011 is producing half the frame rates the 2010 delivered.

I have W7 set to performance, and the Intel Graphics set to High Performance. It is a real shame that the drivers for W7 suck this bad currently.

Sorry for the bad news.

I appreciate you letting folks know. I was thinking about the upgrade, particularly for the 256 gb option and faster CPU; however I won't take a hit on the gpu. I know the MBA is not a "gaming" machine, but my 2010 11" model suits me well as an incredibly balanced machine for decent gaming on the go as well as using it for work.

You install the latest Intel HD3000 drivers for Windows? Or did you use the Bootcamp drivers?

I can run that game just fine under bootcamp, better than my brother's MBP 13" 2010 MBP which has a 320M in it.

Drivers mean everything in Windows, so make sure you're using the latest ones.

I have 8.15.10.2430 6/11/2011. Intels site does not show a newer version.
