So, I'm having some issues with my windows installation, here's how its going.

I had OS X 10.5 installed with Windows 7 on a separate hard drive, worked great. Next I put in a new video card 9800GT, flashed it with the 8800GT bios, and it works great is OS X and windows. Swell.

I started up in Windows one time and it gets to the "starting windows screen" with the logo and such, then goes black (as normal) but doesn't come up with the login screen, instead it just puts the monitor to sleep. I figure its not a big deal, I'm gonna go to OS X 10.6 right away and reinstall windows too.

I install OS X 10.6 and its still the same thing, whatever. Re-install windows 7, goes swimmingly, boot up for the first time and same problem. Hmm...

Go to re-install windows, and this time I hold down alt, choose the CD to boot off of, soon as I press enter the screen goes to sleep (low power mode). The same thing happens if I run through the boot camp installer too.

Any ideas what is going on here??:confused:

A) Why the F would you quote the entire post? Your response is as useful as your need to quote.
B) We? Don't speak for me if you're going to have this attitude.

OP, sorry I can't help but this attitude (above) is not typical and I couldn't resist.

Alright well to set the record straight, everything here is legit, bought the computer (not out of the back of a van) bought OS X 10.6 and have the free download of Win7 (the one that expires in March).

So I've discovered that if I boot with both cards in (x1900xt and flashed 9800->8800 Mac) I can install the GeForce drivers, which recognize it as an 8800 and install fine, AND it will boot, up to the login screen. Now the install is fine, in fact if I hit tab twice and then return it shuts down the computer. The issue is simply that it isn't displaying. . . but will display during startup. Hmmmm :(

Oh and it works just fine in safe mode. . .
