The first screenshots with the red background are... oh my God... they almost look too ugly to be a WindowBlinds (ShapeShifter for Windows) theme. It would be really funny to see that be the final theme, although if this is real, it will evolve.

Nah, Windows 7 will look like this. Exactly.

I'm kidding but the new Window 7 (leaked shots) seems really fake and for something being released in 2010 it doesn't look like much of an improvement design-wise. Then again, the screen shots do look fake.

simply put - business is where Microsofts failings for vista have happend.

business workstations need to be locked down and profile with permissions and restrictions on- vista has too much eye candy on screen that the business user simply does not need.

for me at work 2 screens 1 for my main app i'm working in (full screen) the other for e-mail and internet.

my Admin people like the power to give rights to people or take it away - why create call's and problems when you give every user a clock widget on screen ( you know there is 1 call there on how to get rid of it )

Any new version of Windows ( 7 ?) should be clean lined and aimed at business - think Win NT -Win2000 and XP Pro - they can add candy in a different version for average game playing internet surfing home users.

Vista 2? Yuck, even worse if this is legit.

Look we're in 2008 and their icons are still pixelated and their graphics and fonts look rough.

in os-x we had smooth anti-aliased icons, fonts and graphics for years and it got even better with leopard.

Paul Thurrott say it's a fake, and he would know. You can say what you want about Thurrott and Mac, but he has some good sources within Microsoft.
