Windows 7 RC VMware used 40GB!!!!!!!

So I'm in the middle of installing W7RC using VMware fusion. It is doing it all on it's own but I think it took 40GB. Can I take some of that away when its done? If so HOW?!?!

What was the size of the virtual disk that you set up and is it an expanding one?

You can check documents -> virtual machines... to see the actual size of your file

It sets it up so the maximum size that the virtual machine can take is 40GB so that will be the capacity of your VM. The windows 7 install takes around 6 or 7GB. The size of the VM file will be only the size of the OS until you add more things to it, and then the size of the file will expand up to 40GB, unless you set it to pre-allocate space for Windows 7.

I have installed W7 twice and for me it takes more than 10 Gig every time.
Last time it took 14 Gigs so any hint on how to reduce would be extremely welcome!
