Hi All,

Quick question or two. I'm running Fusion 3 (love it so far). As it stands right now I have xp pro w/ SP3 installed.

Currently I use Fusion for old school games (Baldur's Gate, etc). Office 2008 (for Access and a few other things), and SQL Server 2008 (school purposes).

I was debating about installing Windows 7 Pro, but I'm wondering if it is worth it for what I need, plus I'm wondering what would be the best setup to run 7 under VM would be. Aka what services would be best to turn on and off, and what have you.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

^ I don't think you need windows 7 to run older games in a virtual environment. If anything it would drain the resources more and impede game performance than boost it.

Save yourself the $ and stick with XP

Don't use Windows 7. 3D game performance is mediocre at best on VMware Fusion, even with settings really low on older games. Personally, I'd never use any VMs for gaming. This is why there's Boot Camp! Take advantage of native booting! ;)
