Hey, I have been trying to install Windows 7 x64 on my mac using Snow Leopard. I bought a new hard drive to install it on. I got the Seagate Barracuda 1.5tb HDD (wanted a WD but this was on sale) When i started my comp after installing the new HDD it had an error. Sorry i forget what it said, if you want to know for the fact that it might help me just let me know.

So I opened the bootcamp utility after making sure I got my Mac up to date, and I tried both options, Create or remove a Windows partition and Start the Windows installer. I picked the Seagate HDD (which doesn't have an icon above it) and my computer restarts. It comes up with two choices in the bois, 1 and 2; and no bootable device found please insert cd rom.

You have to make a new DVD under a Windows installation because of some EFI nonsense.

I followed these instructions and changed it to fit my drive letters on my Windows 7 tower. Using the new DVD image that I had just burned I was able to install Windows 7 x64 on my Macbook Late 2007.
