So I had xp on my macbook and have taken it off, then installed it via virtual box on my hackintosh and then took it off after a while as I decided to go with VMWare

However, with this 3rd xp install, it said my copy has been activated too many times, etc. I call up MS and I get the robot directions voice and I get xp activated

My question is how many times can I get it activated over the phone if need be? Im sure down the road, I will upgrade my hackintosh and will want to put xp back on there via virtualization

Is it an unlimited number of times? I never have it but on one machine at a time

Millions :)

(I am using the same XP and Vista disks Ive had since new and I always have to call em (no joke but M$ Activation is #8 on my speed dial))

Even when they put to an operator its usual answers : 'I blew my motherboard' 'My hard disk died' etc.

Its no sweat - just another way for Micro$oft to irritate the hell out of me..
