I was wondering if anyone was able to use a windows emulator on a MBP to play WAR? Or, do I have to install XP via bootcamp?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have been playing WAR on a PC, and the game is awesome.

There is VMWare, Crossover Games and Parallels Desktop (none of them are emulators though) but the virtualization of the graphics subsystem is just not powerful enough to play modern games like Warhammer, you could try with Crossover Games (which has a free 7-day trial) but your best bet is installing XP through bootcamp.

Macbook pro 2nd gen work?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is running war hammer on a 2nd gen macbook pro or something similar in bootcamp.

My specs are:

2.16 duo
ati x1600 (128mb)
2 gigs of ram

Any suggestions if the game will be playable or enjoyable on this mbp?

Thanks

One hope is that the new 10.5.5 update fixed a few of the errors that have been keeping Crossover Games from running things well in DX9.

I know they are currently working on getting the installer + punkbuster to work for Warhammer. That came straight from the devs on the compatibility forum of Crossover Games.

Let's hope they can get it to work and it will run decent. Dualbooting FTL.

What's the Crossover Games? Is that a team that ports to OS X? Dual booting it is fine with me, as long as my machine is decent enough to actually run the game I'll be a happy warhammer-er.
