Hi guys,
just wondering if someone can clarify the below situation for me, and tell me the suitability of it all.
I have read through alot of posts on the BootCamp and firmware situation, along with external booting. Im no computer genius, but having Windows XP running in full would be quiet handy for the few things I cant run in parallels that I need.
can I:
Install Windows XP using BootCamp with the minimum sized partition (5GB) and then operate an external drive (firewire) for all my programs.
Basically, could i install all my apps on the firewire drive and if its a decent drive, operate everything as normal there? Or do I need to have as much as possible on the internal drive?
I have under 10GB left on the internal, and more Mac OS things needed to be installed yet....
I know USB 2.0 drives are unsuitable for sustained use, and so are hoping that a firewire solution would work fine?
Any input is appreciated,
Cheers!
