Oh, but look at how illiterate they are and how they really have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

Thanks for the laugh. I can now continue with my life knowing that I'm definitely better off than the vast majority of people.

Wow.

That would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic and sad.

What a collection of vitriol and hatred, not to mention complete ignorance of the Mac sytem.

I would say that this proves that while you can build a PC that trailer trash can afford, buying it doesn't really broaden their minds any. :(

Canada, eh?
Right, so we have a page full of elitism and anti-Mac snobbery, and we're making fun of it with a thread full of... elitism and anti-PC user snobbery?

Still, I found this comment entertaining:

Stuff Pc can do that Mac cannot do.
(...snipped...)
3.Its not Unexpected to find a virus. If u find one on a mac, you can say goodbye G4.

Right. So lots of viruses on Windows is somehow a good thing now.

I didn't mean for my post to be anti-PC as a whole, but the language and hatred displayed in those posts could not in any way be construed as reasoned discourse, ( nor in fact, representative of the vast majority of PC users I come into contact with). And maybe I am being discrimminatory, but I do usually find the invoking of some of the visual images listed there to be congruent with the lower strata of the socio-economic spectrum.

(Now hows that for some elitist prose?) :D

Wow....thats about all I can say about those comments.

Funny that the only things some people know about Apple and OSX are from videos like that. I don't understand how you can be so against something without even TRYING it.

"OMG MACS R TEH SUX!!!" Sure...whatever dude, I'll keep doing my work while you remove your viruses and defrag your hard drive.

On page six some Mac users comment. Theres no more anti-Mac comments after that (so far). I'm now awaiting for their response to the Mac users comments. I feel like putting them all straight by joining and posting, but nothing I could say could change them. They all need to use a Mac to understand.

Years ago I thought Mac's well crap. Only when I used one I realised how much better they are. Im not saying their perfect, but way ahead of Windows.

Yeah, what's the point. I was going to copy some of my favorite ignorant post's from that page and post them here, but editing out the obscenities was taking too long.

Trying to combat the unthinking hatred of M$ fanboys reminds me of an old saying about trying to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

I'm an MCSE student. I hear this kind of stuff every day. Most of them don't know what they're talking about. When they say "you can't do this or this or this etc. on a Mac," chances are you can and they just don't know how.

Watching the video again I noticed how many of these failures were not with the OS, ( though some were ).

1. Camera won't turn on.

2. A lot of SJ stumbling over words.

3. A couple of SJ, a CEO, not knowing how a specific advanced technology worked.

4.IE for Mac not working.

5. Some guy from Sony having problems with the english language.

Clearly more reasons what Macs suck, dsnort.

I mean.. I don't state that Windows sucks because of Ballmer leaping around on stage like an orangutan. Give it up for me!

I like Windows for what it does. Play games.

What, unlike the superbly well informed opinions for Windows on this forum? ;) :p Most people know only what they know, especially geeks. And on the net they'll defend that to the last. This applies to Mac, Linux or Windows users as well as many, many other things.

I've forgotten the exact wording of a potentially offense-causing reference made to the Special Olympics about arguments of this type, but it struck me as very true. I'm sure other people can dig it up.

Talk about illiterate. Somehow I get the thought they're nothing but gamers and idiots. They're calling us retards, at least we know how to use spell check. :p

Quicktime is far better than Windows Media Player, far, far, FAR better.

???

This is very typical of Windows users. They're not actually "fanboys" - they simply fear what they don't know.

I mean, that sentence doesn't even make any sense.

You'll find that at Mac communities like MacRumors, there is generally much debate and discussion about why we like Macs over Windows, and it's pretty much all coherent, even if we don't all agree.

On PC nerd forums and stuff, when Macs are brought up, you generally get things like "the MACs suck"

"Why?"

"Because they just do"

"ok..."

I don't think anybody actually "loves" or has any personal attachment to Windows. Windows would not fall into the "cult following" category.
