Due to the crappy availability and support of mac games, I was wondering if it's possible to play windows games on a linux distribution on an intel mac. There is no way that I'm going to throw down a couple hundred dollars on windows, so this seems like an attractive option, if possible.
I would also consider crossover games, but I'm wary of it because it has limited support, and its not guaranteed to work. I would hate to buy a windows game and try to play it on crossover mac and find out that it doesn't work. If you look at crossover's list of supported games, there are very few games that are guaranteed to work.
Ugh, I wish that games weren't so picky about operating systems. There should be an open source operating system made just for games, so that all games released for PC's would work on this one minimal operating system. I hate the windows monopoly just as I hate the Mac OS's exclusivity. I suppose you can't have it all. Or can you?
