Will I be able to unlock a fresh virgin 1.1.1 phone and use it on T-Mobile?

Will I be able to upgrade my unlocked 1.02 iPhone to an unlocked 1.1.1 iPhone?

Will I be able to install 3rd Party Apps on the unlocked 1.1.1 iPhone?

If so How?

Are there any STEP-BY-STEP guides that will teach me?
