I'm trying to install boot camp on my new (2007) 20" imac. I have a copy of Windows XP Pro SP2 on one CD. I'm running boot camp 1.4. I have done all software updates, and there are no firmware updates for new imacs yet. I launch boot camp assistant, it reboots the machine, and then I get to top of screen:
Windows Setup

Bottom of screen:
Setup is loading files (IEEE 1394 Bus OHCI Compliant Port Driver)....

And then it freezes. I've tried it a few times, and it's frozen on a few different files.

Any hints on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

Do you have anything plugged into your firewire port(s)?

Also, have you tried booting the disc on another computer? Don't worry about booting from the disc, it won't format anything until it says so.

Be Patient

It seemed for me as well that these Setup files were frozen.
THe best advice for you is just to be patient and let it run. It make take
15 min, it might take 3 hrs. Who knows. :)
