I expect we can all gather what Microsoft is trying to say here. At least IMO:
Openly, that they're a hip brand, down with the kids of today.
Subtly, that Mac OS X is too locked down and generally you can only do Task A 1 or 2 ways. As opposed to the 10 ways to accomplish Task A on a Windows box.
Microsoft thinks its better because you can create a GUI application in Visual basic to do just about anything, short of curing cancer, in a matter of minutes. However because there are 50,000,000 ways of doing something, there are also 50,000,000 potential exploits.
