I just got my new Macbook Pro. It runs great until I start the newly installed windows up; then it locks up. It won't even let me install the drivers. What do I do?

Now that I've messed with it a little bit I've realized that it's not really locked up. It's just that the trackpad and keyboard do not work. I have no idea how to remedy this.

I've installed Boot Camp on the iMac with no problems. However, I have no experience with installing on a MB or MBP.

Not sure I follow you completely.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest trying a USB mouse if you have one.

On the Windows side, you may need a driver for the trackpad to work.

I second the "USB mouse/keyboard" suggestion. I did the bootcamp thing on my macbook and never experienced an issue like that, but I think your best first step would be to at least get the Apple drivers installed and see what that does.

I've tried a USB mouse. Nothing works, no matter what I try. I can't proceed with installing drivers because I can't use any of my normal input devices. I'm reinstalling Windows now to see if that will fix it.

Good to hear.

Any idea what was not working?

Welcome to Windows, try the same thing 100 times and it won't work once...i think Salvadore Dahli called this "Insanity".
