any one have windows make them feel phisicaly sick headaches naisia ect. linux dose it to but not so much is it the pc or windows (its like that editorial from macuser uk about the guy that gets ill neer new macs)
well, my PC at work makes me feel sick, but i think it's the CRTs that do it. my TiBook has never made me sick...although, my apple CRT (clear graphite...you know, the one that has a lawnmower engine inside...hehehe) never made me sick...than again, it could just be my job.
oh, yeah. i have a head cold...so that could be it.
My Tablet running XP was making me ill, so I decided to do a little experiment.
The beagle's next of kin has been notified, and the tablet was handed over to the Department of Homeland Security.

I remember the 17" Crystal Scan Gateway monitor I had before I switched to the Mac with my PowerBook gave me nasty headaches. I have never heard of nausea or strain from LCD monitors, though.
Do not ever ever ever ever - cheap on your monitor.
Cheap LCD or Cheap CRT - they are going to be trouble.
I have a Sony E320 17" CRT - about 1/3 more expensive than the next expensive monitor on the market (only thing I found more expensive are the Electron Blue monitors).
It has been excellent. I have not had a problem with it ever - my dad has the 19" version on his powermac.
Our Samsung 17" CRT on the other hand - cost about AUD200 (Sony 17" cost AUD800). It gives me headaches when I use it.
My friend has a 17" LCD - a middle range - it's nice (as my eyes have an uncanny ablitiy to pick up the CRT flickering at anything up to about 100Hz) - but I edit photos and need the color accuracy that a CRT offers.
Maybe when i stop doing video / photos I will get an LCD. Until then - DONT SKIMP ON YOUR MONITOR.
