Hello everybody,

when using my Macbook Air, I use the app "Swishes" as a windows manager. This app allows me, after snapping one window to the left and right, to readjust the width of these windows by moving the line in the middle.

Like this:
However, when using a secondary display, I can't rely on the trackpad gestures of Swishes. So I'm looking for an app that a) allows me to snap windows to the left and right side of the screen, and b) lets me adjust the width of the windows by moving the center line between the windows.

Tiles, as an example, doesn't provide this functionality. Instead, the two windows overlap when trying to move the line between them.

Thanks for the reply. I tried Split view, but I absolutely do not like that the menu bar is not easily visible. Also, it doesn't allow me to stack multiple windows on top of each other. Moreover, opening a new window moves the previously arranged windows to another desktop, which for me is unintuitive.

I think it would be great to find an app that fits my needs. Otherwise I could live with Swishes, which is great with a trackpad and can be used with keyboard shortcuts when using an external display. Still not perfect, because I like using just the mouse to snap windows to either side.

Perhaps you should contact the developer os Swish and ask them about supporting secondary displays.

They actually do support secondary displays. However, the app doesn't allow for snapping windows to either side of the screen (by simply moving the windows with the mouse). Swish is mainly made for trackpad usage.
