Hi everyone,
I upgraded to Tiger about 5 days ago and I am really enjoying it. There is only really 1 thing wrong. When I try to open any videos in Windows Media Player it quits and wants to send a report to Apple. All the streams in Safari work, it is just the player. I have the newest, version 9. Any suggestions what I should do?

I haven't had any trouble with Windows Media Player with Tiger installed. I would first repair permissions. If that doesn't work, then I'd delete the preference for Windows Media Player. If that doesn't work, then I'd delete that App and reinstall it.

Just out of curiosity, did you do an Upgrade and Install or an Erase and Install when you went from Panther to Tiger? Doing an Upgrade and Install will only cause problems like the one your having. If you did that, I'd back up everything somehow, and do an erase and install of Tiger.

Thanks I will try those things. And yes I did an upgrade and install. If I can find someway to erase and install I will definatly try that. Thank you

I am not having the same issue mentioned here, but I am having problems. I have IE 9 for Mac and when I click on a Windows Media stream, Safari opens a window with Windows Media Player active, but it never starts the video.

Any suggestions on what I might be able to check for this?
