Hey Everyone,
I have been using Windows 7 for quite some time now and I love it. However, I use iTunes mainly for my music, though I have been trying to set up Windows Media Player so I can easily stream to my PS3 and 360. However, I am also using Mac Drive 8, which is compatible with Windows 7. The problem I am experiencing is that I have Windows Media Player set to scan and add music, video and photo's from my Mac partition, in the respective Music, Video and Photo folders. This all works great when I have WMP open, and it all adds. However, once I close the program, it forgets all I have added and needs to scan again and re-add everything.

I was wondering if anyone else has been experencing this weird issue, and whether they knew if it was a Windows 7 thing, WMP thing or a problem in MacDrive 8.

Thanks for any replies.

Am also running macdrive 8 under windows 7...It goin on fine...Infact before i could show WMP my Mac partition containing my tracks(i manage music only in mac using iTunes, but use the same tracks in windows for listsenin, but i dont manage the tracks in windows), it had scanned all the tracks and had added them by itself, it was a pleasant surprise to see all my tracks in the library when i started the WMP for the first time...

This was one of the gestures by Windows 7, which made me like it...

Ofcourse, WMP doesnt re-scan all the files and add them again on every boot or every start of the WMP

Hey,
thanks for the reply. I got it to work after. I allowed it to run while I was gone to work to gather all my music, videos and pictures. Then, once I got home and it was completely finished, it remembered what I had added, I guess I just wasn't letting it finish before.
Thanks though.
