Windows Media Player

I need to use Windows Media Player for a certain event next week. Any suggestions what program to use to be able to use this media player on our iMac?

Can't you use VLC Player?
You could install Windows via Boot Camp or Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion or even VirtualBox (free) and run Window Media Player via that.

Btw, why does it need to be Windows Media Player and what version do you have to use (Classic or the abysmal successor)?

Use VLC or Perian to open WMV files on Mac OS X.
