turn around
So I have used Boot Camp Beta to get Windows (for work) on my MacBook and I've notice two things that happen to do with audio.

1. I've seen this on other windows computers. The audio output lights up red. But in Mac OS X it doesn't, weird. Do all audio outputs have the capability of glowing in red?

2. Heres the problem with the audio. When I'm listening to music and I don't want to disturb others around me I stick in my ear phones and they work great but the built-in speakers on my MacBook don't mute, they keep playing.

1&2: See the Boot Camp FAQ.

1 specifically: the red glow is the optical output being turned on. If yours does not glow optical output is probably turned off.

2 specifically: this is a know issue covered in the FAQ (which you of course read before installing BootCamp).
