Hello all
I would really like my parents to buy a new iMac. I think it would simplify their lives, especially my dad's; he has just started to work with computers and is frustrated by the constant popups and messages on their Windows system.

My problem is my mom uses a few Windows only programs, like MS Money and some games.

Is Parallels a good choice? Is it really easy to use?

Does anyone have parents or grandparents running Parallels? Are there confusing issues trying to run both Windows and Mac OS X, or is it as seamless as they say?

Thanks so much!

the whole point of Parallels is to make running Windows on a Mac easy. if they can launch Safari or iTunes in OS X, they can launch Parallels (it operates just link any other app) and then they can do their Windows stuff.

it, of course, would help if you were on hand for a tutorial and tech support.

Thanks!

I think what I might do is install it on my own system, that way I will know personally how it works.

My mom doesn't like change, so we'll see.
Thanks for your help!
