Windows on Mac

Can I run OSX Sierra and keep it on my HDD and run windows 10 completely from an external HDD? If so how can I set this up? Thank you!

Looks complicated but it's not, not really. I've done it this way and it works flawlessly. It circumvents Bootcamp completely and as such it's not supported by Apple, but that probably doesn't matter. You obviously need to install Apple drivers from Bootcamp but not the bootloader itself.
