I dont want Insider build.

Its runs great but I hate the time limits of it.

Question: is it possible to get-download-compile full version of Windows on Arm that (once activated) can run on Parallels without time limits...

I looked everywhere but havent found not a one single case if M1 user who installed such version via Parallels.

Microsoft does not offer a standalone ARM version of Windows. The hope is that they release one at some point. My bet is summer/autumn, possibly in cooperation with Parallels - just in time for the higher end AS Macs.

It will only be possible legally if Microsoft decides to allow Parallels/VMware to sell licenses to Mac users.
If this wasn't already in the works between Microsoft and Parallels, I doubt Parallels would have bothered supporting Windows 10 ARM with drivers.

Pretty sure that's what we're waiting for.
Where are you going to get the drivers from for such a thing?
Drivers are already "there" in the image - but license is missing.

Currently working VDHX file was not released for Parallels specifically - but as a generic WoA image.
Still, Parallels can run that image (so drivers are there) but the licensing is missing - as its evaluation copy...

I am looking for a way to compile that VDHX image as a full edition, which I can activate with my license..

People with Rapsberry Pi were successful in installing WoA on their Arm64 devices, so I hope there is a way...

I think it's not too difficult if you use uupdump.net and have access to a Windows 10 machine/VM.
I believe it uses a PowerShell executable to pull the version of Windows 10 you want from Microsoft's servers and converts it to an ISO. You'll just lose access to the x64 emulation since it's only in the Insider Preview for now.

The rate at which Microsoft is releasing stable dev builds says to me that they see Windows-on-M1 as a business opportunity. They know that for Mac users going forward, hanging their hat on an Intel based VMs follows a law of diminishing returns. The more M1 users the bigger the opportunity for Microsoft. I would not be surprised if Microsoft made a play for a Hyper-V like stack for MacOS to compete with Parallels and VMware.

It's up to Microsoft to offer a consumer/retail license if their Arm Windows. Currently they only offer it to OEMs.

Dev builds are updated roughly every 1-2 weeks independent of architecture. Latest version is Build 21332 for both x86-64 and ARM64. This has been the case before and after the M1 appeared on the landscape.

What is the time limit on the insider build? I was hoping to use it to run GoToMyPC in Windows for work.

You can get the Insider build, enter a license (my Windows 10 Education license given for free by my university worked), then disable Insider builds.
