Here's a rather bizarre situation.

Trying to connect up a b/g WLAN secured with WPA-PSK. Nothing fancy, just a Netgear access point.

I have endless problems under OS X. It's not recognised automatically when I get within range of the AP, and even when I reconfigure the network it doesn't connect half the time. However when it does connect, it's fine until I go out of the range of the network and come back again.

Here's the kicker: I tried using the WLAN under Boot Camp. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. I applied the recently latest OS X WLAN updates, and I have exactly the same problem. Since it works flawlessly under B.C., it's most likely not a hardware problem. What could the issue be?

No idea, which is why I'm asking. I've attached quite painlessly to Linksys and Draytek AP's but had similar issues with Lucent AP's. Thing is I need to work WLANly at this place with the Netgear router quite often and am thinking about leaving my MBP there. I'm just wondering whether it's worth buying and configuring a Draytek AP for these guys so that I can connect reliably - but it would be nice if there was a known reason why it didn't work so that I knew how to avoid coming up against the problem.
