Hello, i don't know if this is in the correct forum so i apoligies in advanced.

Right, i got my home PC (windows XP) and im trying to network it over to my mac mini (intel - solo) using ethernet, so i can share my internet.

My PC is connected to the internet via a USB modem, and has an internet LAN card. Now, can someone help me in setting up the connection(on both PC and MAC) to get the mac online so i can update my software?

Also a possible guide to doing this via wireless (using my wireless card in my PC and airport in my mac) although ethernet is top piority at the moment.

Thanks in advanced!

Clarification Question

You are using a "Dial-up" modem? Or you are using a USB connection to say a DSL modem or a Cable Modem?

I would recommend going out and buying a cheap Wireless/4-port router, and connecting that to your ADSL modem, and then just connecting your machines to the router.

Probably can find one for under $60 at Best Buy or Comp USA, or Frys, etc.

INTERNET---ADSL MODEM---PC------MAC

Just curious, did the above help at all?

I've setup ICS in the past...not the easiest thing to do, but not too difficult either.

Nope :(

the computer connected to the internet is running windows XP SP2 and a netgear wirelss card.

all i want to do is let my mac connect to the card using airport so i can share the internet!

Routers dont work too well up here because of the crappy old lines.

help!
