My lockscreen using the app 'Blur' to blur the pic and then adding my local Google calendar event for the day. (First pic below)

Thumbs up for the thread! - Sad, non WP phone owning lurker checking in :D

Those look great guys. That transparency thing really did a ton for WP homesceens. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these babies.

Too lazy to post my home screen. But check out some apps like Blur, Transparency Tiles, and Tilesparency for some cool customization ideas that flourish with 8.1

Here's my 8X. It's not that great because the screen is shattered and I don't use the phone anymore. I put 8.1 on it last night to see how I liked it and so far it's nice.

Here's mine I think this is one of the biggest os updates I have ever seen. Pretty excited to be using this phone right now and that's something I wouldn't have said before this update.

Windows Phone looks so much better now.

As soon as I saw windows phone 8.1 was out and available to download (dev. preview) i got a windows phone as soon as I could find one on craigslist. Lucky for me I got a steal (lumia 928 for 50 bucks). I had an htc 8x on verizon about a year ago and loved windows phone but lack of a notification shade as well as lack of a reliable navigation app pushed me away from windows and back to an iPhone. Now that I have a 928 running 8.1 both of those concerns have been alleviated. Having swipe is a bonus too. I haven't ran into any deal breaking snags this time around using windows phone. Kinda like a breath of fresh air after being on iPhone for the last year. and because I got the lumia so cheap, I dont feel bad about keeping my 5c :apple: around :D

Congrats. There are some crazy good deals out there for Windows Phones.

And I know what you mean about deal breakers. My 1520 was on the shelf after I bought it because it was missing too many items I used on my Android phones. After 8.1, I haven't felt the need to use anything else. :)

I'm shocked about the camera on this 928! I took some shots at band practice yesterday and am quite impressed! so much better than my 5c

Nokia has good sensors, lenses and software in their higher end phones. Never heard anyone say a 92x, 93x, 102x or 1520 takes crappy pics. Nokia also has some great photo apps. Download Nokia Cinemagraph, Refocus and Project Tripod when you get a chance. All 3 have very different and specific functions that really make photography fun.

Picked up a 1520 on Saturday and I'm loving it so far! :D

Still looking for the perfect wallpaper, so I've got the default "concrete" background going on right now...
