I upgraded to Catalina end of last year and I am unable to use the new windows snapping feature. Does anybody else have this issue? Also, the new hover menu that displays window tiling options only comes on only when I hover over green circle and press the command key. I figured I should mention that in case this could give a clue to someone what might be preventing the functionality with windows snapping in case the bug is interrelated.

I can get it to open with a long-click. However, choosing "Tile window to left side" for example, does nothing. BUT when I long click as I press Option, I get options to "Move the window to the left side", which does work just fine. So maybe try that...

My impression of the builtin feature is to make the Mac look more like an iPad in split screen mode. If window snapping is important to you, you will get a much better feature set using Better Touch Tool.

The inbuilt stuff does work for me by hovering, long press, command key or option key on the green circle. Note that command and option produce different behaviour. Option is perhaps more appropriate for MacOS as it moves the current window to one half of the screen leaving any other windows as they are.
