How to get your stuff from your PC to your Mac

And here's what it says about Internet Explorer Favourites if you're using your iPod to move your stuff:

Just follow these simple steps in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

1. Launch Internet Explorer and choose Import and Export from the File menu.
2. Export your Favorites and save the file as “Favorites.html” on your desktop.
3. Copy the file “Favorites.html” from the desktop to your iPod.

I would recommend that you use Safari as your internet explorer on the Mac.

You could try burning some files to a CD, but make sure its cross-platform compatible, because sometimes my data disc isn't read by my iMac. You could also try networking the 2 machines together, I'm doing that between this computer and the P4 PC in the basement.

Yes, that means you can import the favourites in Safari later on, and yes you can use a CD or a memory stick etc ... take a look at the link I gave for different options.

(And just in case you haven't noticed, the PowerMacs and PowerBooks will most likely be updated next week, so don't purchase your Mac before that.)

I don't know anything except what it says here on the front page of macrumors.com, but as you can see, Thinksecret and Appleinsider both seem to be quite certain that something will happen next week.
