I don't currently use a mac but after multiple issues with my three month old PC (mostly hardware and stupid tech's) I think I have seen the light and shortly be picking up a MBP.

I'm pretty sure this is a no but thought to ask anyway as I will have to keep windows for a few programs and maybe games.

If I have windows running say through parallels or whatever and it gets a virus or Trojan can it go over into OSX?

will it infect files on the Mac partition?

Would it stay on the windows partition?

I assume I would need to make a small partition for windows OS?

It would not crossover to OS X

Yes, you can create a partition with BootCamp
From there, you can boot natively or run virtually with Parallels or Fusion
It is a true Windows partition and subject to the same viruses, etc.

However, it does not affect your OS X partition
