Hey Everyone,
I have had my Macbook sinch March 2009. I have enjoyed using Mac OS X, but I have been greatly missing Windows and all my programs that I am used to using. I just feel that everytime I go to Windows, I have wasted my money getting a Macbook as I would rather to ease of use and familiarity of using Windows. Therefore, I am planning on putting Windows on my Macbook just to use Windows so I can feel comfortable again, and I have been loving the Windows 7 RC. I didn't want to have to sell my laptop to get less than I payed for it, even though I have seen some nice Windows PC's that I would like now. Anyway. The point of my post is that I have been looking at Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 OEM versions in NewEgg http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116677CVF and I was wondering if it was legal to use an OEM even though I am not a Hardware manufactureer, I just wanted to make sure its legal as it is a lot cheaper than it would be at my local Staples. Also, have people been having any major issues with Vista on a Aluminum Macbook? I know battery life is terrible, but i'm hoping Bootcamp 3.0 is going to fix that.
Thanks for any replies.
EDIT : The reason I ask about the legalities is because of this disclaimer on the website "Disclaimer: Use of this OEM System Builder Channel software is subject to the terms of the Microsoft OEM System Builder License. This software is intended for pre-installation on a new personal computer for resale. This OEM System Builder Channel software requires the assembler to provide end user support for the Windows" Also, if this is not legal, would I be able to just get an Upgrade version and do the whole, install it twice and activate it the second time?
