So basically you're fine as long as you're using a legal version of Vista that you don't intend to crack.
If you do intend to crack it, then there's a chance of frying your computer.
Is there a way to protect your computer from frying? Does it warn you? What do you do if you fry with this software? Can you take it back? Is it worth the fear of risk?
