I need help bad....I recently purchased an IMac and was mandated by my employer to have Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 installed on it. I have had nothing but problems with the install ever since. I should have started off by stating that I am not IT savvy at all. I used Boot Camp to start the install but now all I get is a blank page with the blinking underscore in hte upper left corner. I can't figure out what to do from here. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Well you mentioned windows, so that's where the start of the problem began  Vista is pretty awful though, why didn't you try XP instead?

Start over and make sure that you make install Windows on the partition named BOOTCAMP.

I've had no problems, and it runs Vista better than my $2500 gaming PC.

I would retry the install. Use the Boot Camp Assistant to remove Windows, and you can

a) Try it again

or

b) Try using WMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop to run Windows (with this solution, you don't have to reboot your mac to use windows, and both products have trial versions so you can try before you buy.)

or

b) Ask your employer if you can use Office 2008 for Mac instead of Office for Windows
