Hi everyone!

I'm new to these forums and have a quick question that hopefully is an easy solve.

Recently I bought X-Plane 9.... and I'm ashamed to say it's the PC VERSION!!!:D

My old windows partition on my mac was about 32GB (default I think) and with all of my PC games on there and what not, I ran out of room to put this game on:(

Soooooooo, without thinking twice I deleted the whole partition and made my mac pure again. Only to create a new partition which is now 80GB!:D

I've used my genuine windows CD before, and it worked just fine. Even though it only includes service pack 1a.... but for some reason this time, i cannot connect to the internet. I have it connected directly to my router and it's not even seeing it. Last time I believe I had it hooked wirelessly. Any help would be great seeing as how I need internet to validate my XP install, and update all my drivers and everything.

Let me know if you guys need more information to help me out!

Cheers,

WOW, I've been searching for the install CD's for 2 days now, and finally found them!!! Ok so I have the install disks #1, and #2. What way do I attack this problem now?

In XP, insert Disc 1. Follow the setup if it starts, if not, open the CD drive and run setup.exe

Thanks a lot!! I had no idea it was going to be just that easy... I'll switch over to Windows and try it now.

Thanks again!

Alright, so I put in the Mac CD #1, and it popped up automatically and said "This package requires a newer version of the Windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows installer on your system?" I then clicked yes, and this new box saying "The required source "Update" is missing" popped up. Clicking OK to this closed it, and nothing happened:eek:. I of course tried opening setup.exe file and the same thing happened. Trying to click no, closed the program and also got me no where.....

Any idea's on what to do now?

Cheers,

Sounds like it wont install the drivers and such until you upgrade to at least SP2 ...

Anyway you can download SP2 from another computer and install it?
