Ok, let me try to be as clear as possible with the problem I am experiencing. I have a new iMAC that I purchased last November. I have recent;y installed Parallels 4.0 with Windows XP since there are a few programs I still need. I have a program that I use in windows to create slideshows called Proshow Producer by a company called Photodex. I start my parallels desktop (Windows XP) and I can view the files that are on my MAC desktop in my Windows XP desktop. The problem is when I try to access some of the files, in this case a .jpg file on my desktop it won't let me. When I do a search for files that I know exist I see a bunch of different drives on the file tree that I'm not familiar with. I also tried accessing some of my sound files and came up with the same result.
Has anyone else had this type of issue and if so, what is the fix?

Regards,
Matthew

Part of the problem is that the OS X partition is HFS+ and the Windows partition is most likely NTFS - there are read and write incompatibilities between the two.

I use Fusion, and the solution to this is to drag files from one OS into the other; then you can access them.
