Hi all, i was wondering if someone could answer this question for me. How does on install Windows xp onto mbp without a full version cd of xp. I recieved an upgrade disk from my school. I appreciate any help in advance

Seriously, though, you can't install XP from an upgrade CD, since there's no Windows system to upgrade from. You'll need a full version.

Used to be all you needed was three empty files to install 98 upgrade.jookyooky said:Yup, 98 works. I've always found it strange that when it checks the 98 CD, it takes a fraction of a second and doesn't actually copy any files. It seems it just checks for a few file names and then moves on (according to the blog post you can zero out all the files to save space on the disc).
