Hey

I've got a Macbook pro Core 2 Duo 2,16 ghz with 1gb ram.

Installed Windows XP with SP2 intergrated via bootcamp but it's not working to well.

The problem is kinda hard to describe but here goes;

Audio "skips" a lot, does 0,1 second loops and the computer freezes a bit when this happends. Also, the mouse lags and stops in one position. This varies in intensity, everything from every second to once per half minute.. It's like the computer has random twitches!

It runs fine under OSX and temp is always under 50 celcius. I've tryed reinstalling and making a new driver CD, tried with both NTFS and FAT32, no go..!

Overall, this feels like a driver problem. Any suggestions?

I installed Notebook Hardware Control to see if it was due to temp issues but it can't read CPU temp at all. Any temp etc monitor that works with Macbook pro under Win XP?

The problem isn't so much that Windows doesn't work, it's that Apple has provided really crappy drivers for use with bootcamp.

This could be from two causes:

1. Apple wants Windows to work crappily so people will use OS X instead.
2. Bootcamp is still beta software.

I'm thinking it's probably the latter. I'm wanting to upgrade to Leopard and see if it works then. I'm mostly having problems with the wireless driver refusing to connect to my wireless network if I have any wireless security turned on at all. Other than that and a few other minor driver related bugs, Windows works fine.

Honestly, I wish people would use the search function. Your audio problem is a simple wireless LAN driver issue. Update the driver--problem solved.
