Windows XP Service Pack 3 via Boot Camp

Hello everyone. As you can tell I'm new here and I will be receiving my first MacBook in a few days. I have a Windows XP OEM disc with Service Pack 3 on it. I did some research and learned I should update to Boot Camp 2.1 before installing. I'm confused about updating though. Do I download and install the update while I'm in OS X or did I need to do this while I'm in Windows? Thanks for your time..

You download the update while running Mac OS X. There is a program called software update that automatically tells you about updates all you have to do is click install and you are set.

You will find the whole process of bootcamping quite easy actually. Start up your mac, download the updates (aka click the install button). Then you go to an application called Boot Camp Assistant. That will guide you through the whole process and you need no experience to do it. Simple and straightforward...of course if you have questions post them
