If the physical disc has SP2 on it, it's SP2, and you can install it no problem. However, if just has Windows on it, without SP2, than you will need to slipstream (assuming the SP2 came on a separate disc?) I guess I don't really comprehend what was shipped to you? 2 discs or 1?

If it's just one disc, and says SP2, then you're fine. (SP1 is automatically built-in)

It is one windows disc (the one with the whole shiney pictures on it..) and it says "Includes Service Pack 2" so im guessing its windows SP1 with a file to update it without having to download it? But I need to be sure before wasting time slipstreaming it but I dont want to try it in bootcamp because I will have to partitioning my drive.

"Includes Service Pack 2" is the proper designation for an SP2 disc.

If you're not planning to use it in Boot Camp, but will use Parallels/VMWare, it's a no-care as you can run any 32 bit XP in those VMs.
